Hey there! My name is Nick Walsh, I am the Science and PE Teacher here at Frank Spragins. I was born and raised in Miramichi, New Brunswick. I attended Mount Allison University where I completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science. I then went on to complete my Bachelor of Education at the University of Maine in Presque Isle with a specialty in Secondary Science. In 2011 I moved to Alberta with my wife and taught in O’Chiese First Nation for 2 years before moving to Fort McMurray in 2013. After welding for a few years I found my way back into the classroom and in 2016 Kelly and I were lucky enough to welcome our daughter into the world. I enjoy spending my free time with my friends and family, travelling, skiing, and playing sports. Here at Frank Spragins, my classroom is inclusive, supportive and is meant to be a fun and welcoming place where we value curiosity, learning and mutual respect.
