Frank Spragins High School is a modern learning center offering personalized education for students who need a different approach. We are dedicated to providing a safe, caring, and flexible environment where you can thrive. Our two main pathways are designed to fit your unique circumstances:

• Outreach Program: This program allows you to learn at your own pace with dedicated support from qualified teachers. It’s ideal for students who need to complete their high school requirements, upgrade courses, or require a flexible schedule due to work, training, or personal responsibilities.
• Dual Enrollment Program: Stay connected to your home high school while taking extra courses with us. This pathway is perfect for students who need to take a class not offered at their school to graduate on time or to explore subjects that align with their future goals.

We focus on creating an experience that empowers you to succeed. Our approach is built on four key pillars:

We offer a variety of learning models to ensure every student finds the right fit.

• Module-Based Learning: Work through your course curriculum independently and at your own speed. You will receive teacher guidance as needed and complete tests and exams when you feel prepared.
• Teacher-Led Learning: For those who prefer more structure, we offer classes in small group settings that resemble a traditional classroom experience.
• Hybrid Options: Get the best of both worlds by combining self-paced module work with scheduled, in-person support from our teaching staff.

For Dual-Enrolled Students:
You will remain a student at your home school while completing one or more courses with us. This is a great way to access classes your school may not offer.

• Flexible Scheduling: Complete your coursework around your regular school day, with after-school and evening support hours available.
• Dedicated Teacher Access: Get help from teachers during specific evening hours.
• Self-Paced Modules: Work through personalized modules with all exams and tests included.

• You are a Grade 10-12 student, or a graduated student, looking to upgrade courses.
• You are looking for specific courses to support your post-secondary or career goals that aren't available at your current school.

To graduate with an Alberta High School Diploma, students must earn a total of 100 credits, including:

• English Language Arts – 30 Level
• Social Studies – 30 Level
• Mathematics – 20 Level
• Science – 20 Level
• Physical Education 10 (3 credits)
• Career and Life Management (CALM) (3 credits)
• 10 credits in any combination of Career and Technology Studies (CTS) or Fine Arts
• 10 credits in any 30-level course (in addition to English and Social Studies)
