Welcome to Frank Spragins High School, where we provide a learning environment built around you. We understand that the traditional classroom isn't the right fit for every student. That's why we offer personalized education designed to help you meet your academic goals on your terms. At Frank Spragins, everyone belongs, and every path to success is valued.

Who We Are

Frank Spragins High School is a modern learning center offering personalized education for students who need a different approach. We are dedicated to providing a safe, caring, and flexible environment where you can thrive. Our two main pathways are designed to fit your unique circumstances:

  • Outreach Program: This program allows you to learn at your own pace with dedicated support from qualified teachers. It’s ideal for students who need to complete their high school requirements, upgrade courses, or require a flexible schedule due to work, training, or personal responsibilities.
  • Dual Enrollment Program: Stay connected to your home high school while taking extra courses with us. This pathway is perfect for students who need to take a class not offered at their school to graduate on time or to explore subjects that align with their future goals.

Why Choose Frank Spragins?

We focus on creating an experience that empowers you to succeed. Our approach is built on four key pillars:

  • ✔ Flexibility: Learn on a schedule that works for you. We offer flexible hours, including evening availability, and options for both on-campus and off-campus learning to fit your life.
  • ✔ Personalized Support: Benefit from one-on-one and small-group teaching. Our teachers are here to provide guidance, answer questions, and support you every step of the way.
  • ✔ Multiple Pathways: Whether you prefer self-paced, module-based learning or structured, teacher-led classes, we have an option that suits your learning style.
  • ✔ Goal-Focused Education: Our programs are designed with your future in mind. We are here to help you get the credits you need for graduation and prepare you for what comes next.

Learning Options

We offer a variety of learning models to ensure every student finds the right fit.

  • Module-Based Learning: Work through your course curriculum independently and at your own speed. You will receive teacher guidance as needed and complete tests and exams when you feel prepared.
  • Teacher-Led Learning: For those who prefer more structure, we offer classes in small group settings that resemble a traditional classroom experience.
  • Hybrid Options: Get the best of both worlds by combining self-paced module work with scheduled, in-person support from our teaching staff.

For Dual-Enrolled Students:
You will remain a student at your home school while completing one or more courses with us. This is a great way to access classes your school may not offer.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Complete your coursework around your regular school day, with after-school and evening support hours available.
  • Dedicated Teacher Access: Get help from teachers during specific evening hours.
  • Self-Paced Modules: Work through personalized modules with all exams and tests included.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Frank Spragins High School?
Frank Spragins is a flexible learning hub for high school students. We serve both full-time Outreach students and Dual-Enrolled students from other schools, providing personalized options to ensure everyone can succeed.

Who can attend Frank Spragins?
We welcome Grade 10-12 students who need an alternative to a traditional school setting (Outreach) or wish to take specific courses not offered at their home school (Dual Enrollment). We also support graduated students who wish to upgrade courses.

Can I take any course I want as a dual-enrolled student?
Not exactly. The dual enrollment program is designed to fill gaps in your schedule. You can take courses that are not currently offered by your home school. This helps you graduate on time and explore new interests while staying enrolled at your school.

How does scheduling work?
Our hours are flexible. On-campus students can learn in small group settings during the day or evening. Off-campus students can communicate with teachers via email, phone, or Google Classroom and visit the school to pick up or drop off work. Dual-enrolled students typically complete work independently and access teacher support during scheduled evening hours.

Is there a cost?
No, there is no additional cost for eligible students enrolled in our school division.

How do I get started?
The first step is to talk to your school counselor. They can help you decide if our Outreach or Dual Enrollment program is the right choice for you and guide you through the application process.
